What This Position Is All About:

The Senior Manager, Editorial Content is an integral player on the Saks OFF 5TH creative team. This role requires an imaginative storyteller who has a true love of crafting merchandise stories. This person will partner closely with a variety of individuals on the ecommerce, design, art and marketing teams to create frameworks for monthly email and site content. With the guidance of the Director, Editorial Strategy, the Senior Manager, Editorial Content will turn merchant and marketing priorities into compelling and engaging brand-right stories.

You Also Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience in writing (preferably in marketing, retail, publishing or an agency environment), content management, creative strategy or similar professional experience
  • An online portfolio of relevant work


As The Sr. Manager, Editorial Content you will:
  • Manage the development of monthly editorial email and site content
  • Partner with ecommerce teams to translate customer trends, insights and segmentation data into actionable content strategies
  • Closely collaborate and brainstorm with art, design and styling teams to bring inspiring brand-right stories to life
  • Strategically implement scalable ways to tell stories through in-house photography, merchandise curations and other creative solutions
  • Identify ways to improve internal content development process
  • Have a finger on the pulse of current culture and the retail industry, especially off price
  • Act as a proactive self-motivator who can problem solve with incomplete information


The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $105,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
