Full Job Description
Primary Purpose of Position

The Sr Manager, Business Continuity Resiliency plays a critical leadership role in shaping and establishing the enterprise's Business Continuity and Crisis Management (BCCM) resiliency strategy. This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of robust business continuity and crisis management plans across the organization, including the administration of a comprehensive business impact analyses, establishment and oversight of BCCM GOSP, development and implementation of rigorous tests and exercises, and monitoring of security controls health metrics. The Sr Manager manages the security management model process and approvals, and ensures all policies, procedures, processes, and regulatory compliance initiatives are current and effective.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Corporate Security, this role provides daily portfolio and project oversight for all Constellation practice areas. The Sr Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive Corporate Security 5-year strategy roadmap that aligns with Constellation's Core Value, as well as refining baseline O&M and capital investments through annual Corporate Security budget and Long-Range Planning (LRP) processes.

Additional responsibilities include driving and supporting security program initiatives, such as the integration of AI technologies, effective remediation of identified risks and audit findings, and continuous program enhancement. The Sr Manager recruits, develops, and retains a diverse, high-performing security workforce, evaluates team performance, and provides coaching to foster growth. By promoting diversity, teamwork, innovation, and a learning culture, the Sr Manager ensures a resilient and forward-looking security organization. The role also includes influencing industry practices by actively participating in, and providing leadership to, relevant industry and trade associations and organizations, maintaining the organization's reputation as a leader in physical security. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, supporting the ongoing evolution of the enterprise security program.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities
  • Provide oversight and execution of the Corporate Security Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Create and maintain a forward-looking security strategy, assessing the current security landscape and future trends to anticipate emerging threats and vulnerabilities and ensuring the alignment with the organization's mission, values, and long-term goals.
  • Develop and oversee long-term strategic plans that align with organizational goals.
  • Lead team of security professionals and their managers/supervisors to provide strategic direction, guidance, and oversight performance for the Corporate Security strategy, enterprise physical security governance, enterprise physical security risk management, and to provide daily oversight of security portfolios and projects for all Constellation Business Practice Areas.
  • Develop, maintain, identify, and support enterprise physical security risk management efforts, to include physical security portfolio, physical security risk metrics/tracking, physical security risk consulting, security exceptions process/tracking, physical security audit support/findings, projects, security regulations and physical security remediation management.
  • Provide oversight for all security regulation programs including but not limited to, FERC and NERC CIP.
  • Execute and maintain audit methods, to ensure program controls comply with corporate governance and regulations.
  • Develop, maintain, and support physical security governance and controls for the enterprise, to include security systems, physical security GOSP, physical security controls based upon industry best practices and standards, physical security controls health metrics, and physical security management model process and approvals.
  • Participate, engage and support various security related governance steering committees.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions and risk evaluations for the enterprise.
  • Provide oversight of agenda and content of the Executive Security Council, in collaboration with Cyber Security.
  • Develop, maintain, and support the management of the security program initiatives, including the use of AI technology, remediation of identified risks, audit findings, and efforts.
  • Provide monthly Business Plan Performance Reports and Budget Performance reports to the Managing Director to ensure the team meets budget targets and that budgets are prioritized to support achievement of Business plan goals.
  • Provide oversight of Corporate Security contracts to ensure they align with approved budget spend.
  • Coordinate with the EVP, Chief Human Resource Officer's staff on strategy and budget efforts to ensure alignment, collaboration, awareness, and transparency.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related 4-year degree, with 5 years' Manager experience or in Lieu of Education over 15 years' experience.
  • Knowledge of PC/desktop workstation applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, communications skills, and presentation skills up to C-Suite audience.
  • Ability to make critical decisions under pressure and manage complex situations.
  • Demonstrated Operational Planning, Execution, and Improvement, combined with customer engagement skills and experience leading teams and people through organizational and operational change.
  • Broad knowledge of public policy related to security, including legislation, applicable security regulations, and standards.
  • Excellent consultative skills, including teamwork, facilitation, prioritization, and negotiation.
  • Demonstrated ability to present and discuss complex physical / technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding and approval.
  • Availability for travel to various work locations, external liaison activities and vendor locations, as needed.
