Summary:

We are seeking a qualified professional for the position of Senior Investment Analyst. This role acts as a key member of the investment team, serving as an investment subject matter expert, primarily focused on investment analysis and communicating investment recommendations to clients. This salaried position includes an annual performance bonus based on regional revenue and retention goals. Senior Analysts are encouraged to pursue new business opportunities and may earn commissions, provided the appropriate licenses are held.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ongoing quantitative and qualitative analysis of investment managers and investment vehicles across multiple asset classes.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and insightful written investment commentary for investment committee reports and client reviews.
  • Prepare investment recommendations including fund additions, removals, watch status, and replacement recommendations based on established investment criteria and Investment Committee guidance.
  • Present investment analysis and recommendations to clients' investment committees.
  • Respond to client questions regarding investment performance, manager philosophy, market conditions, and investment strategy.
  • Participate in investment manager meetings, due diligence calls, and industry conferences. Coordinate regularly with fund company contacts to obtain due diligence information, discuss portfolio positioning, review organizational updates, and product enhancements.
  • Evaluate target date fund providers and conduct suitability analysis for clients.
  • Support Requests for Proposal (RFPs), finalist presentations, and new business opportunities by providing investment expertise.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the firm's investment research process and analytical tools.
Required Experience/Characteristics:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the retirement plan industry, with a specific focus on investment analysis (10+ years preferred).
  • Proficient knowledge of asset allocation, portfolio construction, performance attribution, risk analysis, capital markets.
  • Experience evaluating fund managers and experience with different investment vehicles (mutual funds, CITs, SMAs, etc).
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to client service, responsiveness, and ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and conducting meetings via MS Teams/Zoom.
  • RPAG knowledge/background (preferred).

The base salary range for this position is $126,000 - $180,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
