Full Job Description
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, crafting and executing strategies to ensure a robust and efficient supply chain. Partner with internal stakeholders and Global Procurement to develop and implement category strategies and related projects, including cost reduction, supply base optimization and complex contract negotiation. Communicate at executive levels with accurate supporting data, market insights and business cases. Source solutions and lead procurement strategies for capital and operational equipment, and various complex service offerings. Operate within established governance and sourcing processes and policies to conduct and execute RFx activities and apply demand management. Build and own category strategies to drive savings, value, assurance of supply, quality and supplier performance within your assigned categories. Conduct detailed should-cost and benchmark analysis. Take the lead in identifying and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers and partner with Legal team to negotiate and execute complete contracts. Drive alignment with team members, cross-functional partners, develop, lead and execute negotiation strategies. Manage Micron's relationship with key/strategic suppliers and have responsibility for holding suppliers accountable, managing and resolving commercial and operational issues, and improving supplier performance. Position requires 15% domestic travel.
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Business, Business Administration, Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Industrial and Systems Engineering or related field, and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires:
1. Developing and recommending cost savings proposals through should cost analysis, alternative sourcing, and market analysis;
2. Contract redlining or reviewing including Service Agreements, Construction Agreements, and Statements of Work;
3. Artificial intelligence process management;
4. Data-driven sourcing and business recommendations with quantitative analysis to guide executive decision-making;
5. Strategic sourcing and procurement;
6. Independent category strategy development management and execution
7. Supplier relationship and performance management; and
8. Project management skills, including planning and managing multiple concurrent sourcing project and RFx initiatives
