The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) serves as a strategic and hands-on HR partner to manufacturing operations and assigned employee groups. This position provides HR leadership and support across employee relations, staffing and recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits, workers' compensation, payroll, policy administration, employee engagement, and organizational development.
The Sr. HRBP demonstrates mid- to advanced-career-level knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures and applies that knowledge to effectively support business objectives. The position partners closely with leaders, employees, Safety, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to address workforce needs, resolve employee concerns, improve retention, strengthen engagement, and promote a positive and productive work environment.

Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesStandard Duties - Demonstrates advanced-level knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in areas such as recruitment, employee and/or labor relations, workers compensation, payroll, compensation and benefits, and managing business partnerships with cross-functional groups.
- Partner with Safety on incident investigation from initial claim to a resolution.
- Strong focus on staffing and recruitment for area responsibility.
- Strong focus on applying and operating within the BorgWarner Beliefs.
- Facilitates a collaborative environment and implements appropriate change management initiatives.
- Provides excellent customer service to support the business through the consistent application of HR policies, recruitment strategies, performance management, data analysis, team progress and taking initiative on challenging assignments.
- Being an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
- Frequently walks/visits manufacturing floor to touch base with employees for questions, concerns or any other customer service needs.
- Manage high volume workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves".
- Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures for continual improvement in business objectives, productivity and development.
- Provide a true, hands-on approach and successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
- Flexibility to support a 24/7 work environment that has multiple shifts and a complex work situation.
- Ability to partner with groups to reduce turnover, build employee relations and drive employee engagement.
Additional Information:- Travel is occasionally required, up to 5% of the time.

Key Competencies- Progressive HR experience demonstrating mid- to advanced-career-level knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, recruitment/staffing, performance management, and HR business partnering.
- Progressive HR experience demonstrating mid- to advanced-career-level knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
- Working knowledge of workers' compensation, payroll, compensation, benefits, and applicable employment practices.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing, distribution, or other fast-paced operational environment preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive employee matters.
Education & Experience- Bachelor's Degree required
- 8+ years of HR Business Partner experience, employee relations, change management, and recruiting
- Intermediate level HRIS, Workday preferred.
- SHRM-CP, PHR certification is encouraged
- Master's degree is encouraged.
Salary Range:$80,800 - $111,100
