The
Application Administrator will support the day-to-day operation, monitoring, and maintenance of a distributed enterprise application platform hosted in a cloud environment.
Responsibilities- Monitor application health, system performance, alerts, and logs to ensure operational availability
- Administer user accounts, permissions, security roles, and access requests
- Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues and coordinate resolutions with development and engineering teams
- Support software deployments, patching, maintenance activities, and system upgrades
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and audit/compliance records
Requirements- US Citizenship
- Active Top Secret Clearance, or TS eligibility with ability to complete adjudication/transfer requirements
- 5 years of experience working in fast-paced Agile software development environments that have brought code to productions
- Either: Experience engineering production microservices in Spring Boot, including secure connections, automated test coverage OR: Recent experience engineering with major Angular Versions (component architecture, RxJS, modern build tooling) with strong component test coverage, builds for automation, and documentation
- Hands-on experience building or working in event-driven architectures, including message producers/consumers, topic & stream partitioning, and delivery ordering/retries/back pressure
- Strong relational data skills, including schema design query optimization, and performant interfaces with production relational databases
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
Desired Skills- Security+ certification (within two months preferred/required by project guidance)
- Experience implementing durable, long-running workflows, including modeling multistep business processes with activity/task decomposition, automatic retries, and failure recovery
- Working in AWS Gov-Cloud environments, developing applications, microservices, and fault tolerant capabilities
- Working with Kubernetes for application development and microservice deployment
