Full Job Description
Sr. Fire Alarm Designer.

Job Summary: A Sr. Fire Alarm Designer is responsible for using AutoCAD and other design software to create accurate and clear design documents, schematics, and layouts of fire alarm systems.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $115,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and specify detailed fire alarm and suppression systems adhering to local, state, and national codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Perform field surveys and attend project specific meetings
  • Conduct thorough reviews of architectural and engineering drawings to ensure compatibility of design.
  • Provide expert technical advice and solutions to complex design challenges.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and client teams to ensure specifications and designs meet quality and safety standards.
  • Manage and oversee multiple design projects from concept through completion
  • Obtain permits as required, including all related duties such as preparation, delivery, corrections, etc.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with the Hiller technicians and office staff to facilitate effective communications and exceptional customer service
  • Stay updated with latest technologies and changes in fire protection regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
