OpportunityServes as the primary financial resource for Shareholder Services, providing comprehensive financial support for Kohler philanthropic trusts, Kohler family trusts, family office operations, and family meeting planning, reporting, and financial administration.
Specific Responsibilities- Maintain and administer accounting records for assigned entities, including tracking all cash inflows and outflows, investment activity, and bank account transactions. Perform monthly updates and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and alignment with bank and investment account statements.
- Develop annual forecasts and multi-year financial projections in accordance with established guidelines. Manage year-end rollover processes, including updating files and reports, and establish new tracking and reporting structures to support the upcoming calendar year.
- Prepare and coordinate all reporting for quarterly family meetings and annual philanthropic trust meetings, including the development of exhibits, consolidation of materials from internal and external stakeholders, management of review and revision processes, and the production and distribution of final meeting books.
- Prepare and transact the distribution of all payments from the philanthropic trusts to beneficiaries.
- Coordinate the preparation of periodic mid-year updates for the philanthropic trusts by collaborating with the Kohler Trust Program Manager, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders to gather and communicate relevant information.
- Manage family trust related financial obligations by coordinating with legal, tax, insurance, trust, and investment professionals. Calculate promissory note payments, coordinate the execution of payments between all parties, and provide information to tax professionals for tax return preparation.
- Prepare and provide tracking and summarization schedules of pertinent income tax information for family members and provide related support to family members and family legal and tax consultants, as requested.
- Coordinate with the Kohler Foundation accountant to ensure consistency in accounting, investment reporting, and exhibit formats, and support the preparation of meeting books and related financial materials.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external investment advisors, overseeing investment performance reporting, ensuring consistent portfolio allocations, and ensuring timely distribution of investment statements and reports to interested parties.
- Prepare trustees and beneficiaries for the annual philanthropic trust meetings and oversee logistics for the meetings.
- Prepare comprehensive philanthropic reporting periodically throughout the year, consolidating all giving from Kohler Co. and philanthropic trusts.
- Assist the Director Finance - Shareholder Services and the Kohler Trust Program Manager throughout the year to carry out the goals of the philanthropic trusts, family trusts, and family office operations.
- Support the Director Finance - Shareholder Services on special projects as needed.
Skills/Requirements - Bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting or finance.
- Previous experience at Kohler Co. in a Finance function, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation.
