Position Summary: This Position is located in Arlington, Virginia and reports to the office five days a week. We are seeking an experienced and highly professional Executive Assistant to provide confidential, high-level administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This role is critical to the effectiveness of the COO and requires exceptional judgment, organization, technology-savvy and proactive problem-solving skills. This role additionally works as part of a team with two other executive assistants who support the CEO and board of directors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide confidential, high-level administrative support to the COO, including complex calendar management, scheduling, travel coordination, and expense reporting.
- Anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts; prepare the COO for meetings and speaking engagements with agendas, briefing materials, and talking points.
- Coordinate special projects and high-level meetings by collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to develop plans, communications, and follow-through.
- Develop speaking presentations and compile background materials
- Maintain accurate records, budgets, and files across NRECA systems; document procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Support COO preparations for board, committee, and affiliated meetings; serve as a trusted liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
QualificationsFormal Education Required:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
Experience and Certifications Required:- 8+ years of executive-level administrative support experience.
- Proven experience working with senior leaders
- Familiarity with government, Capitol Hill, association, or industry environments preferred.

Essential Physical Requirements:
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
