Responsibilities:- Review and evaluate project plans of proposed development, roadway, railroad, and construction activities in proximity of client's pipeline right-of-ways to ensure safe operation and assess impact on pipeline facilities.
- Engineering focus on encroachment support and compliance with client's Encroachment Evaluation Specifications and Regulatory Agency requirements
- Performs engineering calculations using API 1102 based formulas and related standards for steel pipeline crossing railroads and highways.
- Calculate pipeline stresses and circumferential internal pressure due to earth load, live load, impact factors, and cyclic stresses from railroads and highways.
- Familiarity with reviewing Seismic data as it relates to damage indexes.
- Review and edit engineering drawings for construction issue and preparedness to protect pipeline assets during construction phases.
- Ensure design product is compliant with relevant Codes and Standards.
- Works with other engineers and internal coordination within the client's organization such as Land Management, Pipeline Operations, Field Engineering Projects, Asset Integrity, and EHS&T to ensure work product meets budget and schedule commitments.
Requirements:- B.S.in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 10+ years of working experience.
- Proficient in the application of API 1102,1104,1117,1166, & 1172.
- Familiar with GIS, Google Earth, and Blue Beam software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
- Attention to detail.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
Experience Preferred:- PE License.
- Strong background with civil construction and working with land survey data.
