General Summary:We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer for our Qualcomm's Enterprise AI Platform and Solutions team. In this role, the candidate will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of next-generation AI-powered developer tools and platform capabilities that enhance productivity and user experience across enterprise applications.
This is a fast-paced, execution-driven position that requires strong ownership, the ability to deliver under tight timelines, and a passion for building intuitive, AI-driven user experiences while scaling platform capabilities across multiple products.
Key Responsibilities- Build and enhance end-to-end AI-powered applications, including frontend developer tools (e.g., VS Code plugins) and backend services.
- Develop and integrate LLM-powered features into enterprise applications, improving user productivity and experience through intelligent workflows and contextual assistance.
- Contribute to enterprise-scale search, retrieval, and indexing systems, enabling efficient processing and understanding of codebases and knowledge assets.
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and integration layers to expose AI/ML capabilities across applications and developer tools.
- Rapidly iterate on UI/UX features based on real-world usage, feedback, and evolving product requirements to deliver intuitive and high-quality user experiences.
- Debug and resolve issues across application layers, including frontend, backend, and AI/LLM-driven components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (platform, infrastructure, and product) to deliver scalable, production-ready AI solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Preferred Qualifications- Strong programming skills in C#.NET, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Angular, Node.js, HTML, and CSS
- Experience building full-stack applications (UI + backend services + APIs)
- Proven ability to build clean, intuitive, and performant user interfaces
- Hands-on experience developing or integrating LLM-based / AI-powered applications
- Familiarity with agentic workflows or orchestration frameworks
- Ability to take high-level direction and independently drive end-to-end implementation
- Strong understanding of API design, state management, and UI/backend integration
- Experience debugging across both traditional systems and AI/LLM-driven behavior
Nice-to-Have- Tracing/observability tools for LLM systems
- Experience with Elasticsearch / vector search
- Docker / Kubernetes exposure
- Multi-agent systems and evaluation frameworks
Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits: $111,300.00 - $166,900.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
