Sr Electrical Estimator

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred, or equivalent technical training and experience
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience, including managing people
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems
• Proficient in reading specifications and drawings
• Strong knowledge of construction costs and principles
• Proficient in mathematical calculations and applying concepts to practical situations
• Strong drafting skills
• Proficient in Excel and Word
• Knowledge of Quick Pen Auto Bid Mechanical and Sheet Metal Estimating software

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings and perform material take-offs for detailed estimates
• Perform complex red-lining of documents
• Partner with Lead Estimator or Chief Estimator to finalize Field Estimate and Bid (FEB)
• Present bids to Project Executives and Project Managers
• Generate reports and interpret them for Project Review
• Participate in client interview meetings to discuss projects
• Train and mentor less-experienced Estimators
