With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

KLA is seeking a dedicated and motivated senior engineer to fill new position within the Electrical Engineering group! Our designs employ innovative combination of low noise analog to highly complex digital signal circuits, which are enabling our leading technology in the advancing semiconductor industry. We are seeking a highly motivated individual contributor, willing to take the initiative to provide technical leadership on the assigned project. The individual needs to be able to investigate next generation electrical engineering technology and apply it to the development of the sophisticated systems; able to support the detailed analysis and tradeoffs for the various solutions and provide feedback on which solution to implement.

Main job responsibilities include:
  • Gathering and identifying project requirements
  • Conceptual feasibility studies
  • Project planning, cost and scheduling
  • Analog and digital PCB design using CAD tools (OrCAD, PSpice, LTSim are preferred)
  • Conducting variety of analysis: circuit, noise, timing, thermal/cooling, electrical loads, FPGA
  • Definitions of interfaces with other critical sub-systems
  • Design validation planning, execution, FW and system integration
  • These tasks will require working with other engineering groups such as Mechanical, Optical, Software, Systems and Manufacturing engineering teams, ensuring design, integration and qualification at subsystem and system levels
  • Occasional travel up to 10% will be required


Qualifications:

The candidate is expected to be self-driven, independent and to possess excellent oral and written communication skills to successfully collaborate with our accomplished engineering team.

Preferred expertise in:
  • Low noise linear analog circuitry, characteristics of analog components
  • High-speed digital design, data acquisition, signal integrity
  • CCD sensors, image acquisition
  • Understanding of capabilities and coding techniques of advanced FPGA devices
  • Proficient in use of advanced electronics laboratory equipment


Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years

Base Pay Range: $141,300.00 - $240,200.00 Annually
