Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership, direction and strategy development and makes final administrative or operational decisions within level of authority. Ensure group's activities role model safe behavior, follow proper protocol and procedures, including core values.
  • Lead cross functional teams to support supplier engineering objectives and ensure sourcing decision is consistent with overall strategy.
  • Set and drive clear goals for cost savings, value creation and vendor performance in context of business unit operating plan.
  • Maintain effective relationships with key internal customers and support organizations. Work with cross functional departments, to develop cost reduction and avoidance initiatives and supply base improvement projects (Maintain Key Relationships).
  • Utilize deep understanding of industry, supplier dynamics and market trends to determine sources of leverage. Evaluate, qualify, & select suppliers. Understand framework and help executing to AOP.
  • Maintain continuous awareness of ongoing vendor performance in assigned commodity/service areas. For all high impact vendors, participate in scorecard development, quarterly business reviews for assigned vendors
  • Participate in problem resolution/escalation arising from vendor performance issues for assigned commodities and services.

  • Influences and negotiates at the top executive levels, with great latitude on outcomes; presents and defends complicated or delicate issues


The position requires an understanding of Applied Material's global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times. This includes demonstrating the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting Applied Materials' core values.

Should Hold a Mechanical,, Electrical , Industrial or Systems Engineering Degree and have 15 years of experience ideally in Semiconductor industry.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
