The Opportunity

As Senior Director, Facilities, you will lead the strategy, reliability and protection of the infrastructure that enables our Canadian operations to perform. You will bring facilities, maintenance, environmental health and safety, sanitation and physical security together under one integrated operating approach, strengthening reliability, compliance, risk management and readiness for growth in GMP environment.

This is an opportunity for a senior operational leader who knows what strong infrastructure and technical operations look like, can build the systems and capabilities to get there, and can translate strategy into disciplined execution across multiple sites.

What You'll Do

Shape the Facilities and Capital Strategy
  • Set the Canadian facilities strategy and multi-year roadmap, aligning infrastructure, utilities, space and asset capability with operating priorities and growth plans.
  • Lead capital planning and execution for expansions, renovations, equipment installations and critical utilities, supported by disciplined governance, investment prioritization and strong vendor partnerships.


Drive Reliability and Operational Performance
  • Build a consistent maintenance operating system across sites, including preventive, predictive and total productive maintenance practices that improve uptime and asset life.
  • Strengthen CMMS, work-order and spare-parts discipline, using lifecycle data and root-cause analysis to reduce recurring failures and improve overall equipment effectiveness.


Protect Our People, Products and Operations
  • Set enterprise standards for environmental health and safety, industrial hygiene and regulatory compliance across cultivation, manufacturing, warehousing and maintenance environments.
  • Lead governance for incident investigations, safety committees and corrective and preventive actions, building a proactive culture of risk reduction.
  • Represent the organization during regulatory inspections and third-party audits relating to infrastructure, maintenance, safety, security, sanitation, and hygiene.
  • Provide strategic direction for sanitation and hygiene programs that protect product quality and meet GPP, GACP and GMP requirements.
  • Oversee physical security, access control, surveillance and loss-prevention frameworks that safeguard people, products and facilities.


Build Capability and Accountability
  • Lead and develop functional leaders across facilities, maintenance, safety, sanitation and security, establishing clear expectations, decision rights and performance standards.
  • Own budgets and performance measures and partner across Operations, Quality and Supply Chain to anticipate constraints, prioritize investment and resolve enterprise risk.
  • Ensure infrastructure, maintenance, safety, security, sanitation, and hygiene are performing at a level that ensures renewal of all certifications.


What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, operations, environmental health and safety, or a related discipline ; an advanced degree or relevant professional designation is an asset.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience leading facilities, engineering, maintenance or technical operations, including senior leadership responsibility across multiple sites.
  • Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing, food, pharmaceutical, agriculture or cannabis environment, with working knowledge of GPP, GACP and/or GMP requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance and reliability systems, including CMMS, preventive and predictive maintenance, root-cause analysis and equipment lifecycle management.
  • Commercial and financial strength, with experience leading environmental health and safety, sanitation, security, budgets, vendors and performance through accountable functional leaders.
  • A practical, visible leadership style that connects strategy to execution, builds strong teams and influences across functions.
