THE ROLEAs
Senior Director, Client & Personal AI System Innovation, you will lead AMD's long-term system innovation strategy across Client PC and Personal AI platforms. You will identify emerging technologies, future platform opportunities, and differentiated user experiences years before products reach the market.
Working at the intersection of product strategy, system architecture, ecosystem partnerships, and business leadership, you will establish the framework that transforms innovative concepts into industry-leading platforms, compelling customer experiences, and measurable business impact.
This role will lead a team of architects, strategists, and ecosystem experts while partnering closely with engineering, software, product management, and business teams across AMD. You will also oversee strategic engagement with leading OEM and ODM partners to accelerate innovation and showcase AMD platform leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDefine the Future of Personal Computing- Develop and drive AMD's multi-year roadmap for Client PC and Personal AI system innovation.
- Identify future platform concepts, user experiences, form factors, and technologies that create meaningful differentiation in the marketplace.
- Translate AMD technology leadership into compelling end-user experiences that shape the future of personal computing.
- Evaluate emerging industry and technology trends to inform long-term innovation priorities and investment decisions.
Lead OEM & ODM Co-Innovation- Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with leading OEM and ODM companies.
- Align ecosystem roadmaps with AMD technology investments and platform strategies.
- Drive co-engineering initiatives that accelerate innovation, improve platform quality, and enable differentiated AMD-powered systems.
- Establish AMD as the preferred innovation partner for next-generation Client and AI computing platforms.
- Lead ODM collaborations that showcase AMD system innovation and platform leadership.
Build a Scalable Innovation Engine- Create and operationalize the governance model, investment framework, and processes required to drive innovation across AMD's Client organization.
- Align architecture, engineering, software, product management, and business development teams around strategic innovation priorities.
- Ensure innovation investments translate into measurable business results, platform differentiation, customer adoption, and design-win success.
- Accelerate the transition of innovative concepts from vision through execution and market impact.
Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams- Build, mentor, and inspire a team of system architects, strategists, and ecosystem leaders.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Influence senior leadership and stakeholders to gain alignment on strategic priorities and long-term technology investments.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE- 15+ years of leadership experience in system architecture, platform engineering, product strategy, semiconductors, computing systems, or related technology fields.
- Demonstrated success developing and commercializing innovative computing platforms that delivered significant business and market impact.
- Deep understanding of PC platform architecture, software ecosystems, artificial intelligence technologies, and system design principles.
- Experience partnering with OEMs, ODMs, and technology ecosystem partners to drive platform innovation and adoption.
- Proven ability to influence across large, global organizations and complex external partner ecosystems.
- Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Experience defining long-range technology strategies and translating them into successful product roadmaps and business outcomes.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree, MBA, or other advanced technical degree preferred.
