What youll do as a Sr Development Engineer, Manhattan Active: 3 Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex software solutions supporting Manhattan Active WMS. 3 Develop and maintain high-quality applications, integrations, and services using Java and Python. 3 Drive enhancements, configuration, and deployment activities across Development, UAT, and Production environments. 3 Architect and optimize MySQL databases, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. 3 Design, deploy, and support cloud-based solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 3 Analyze and resolve complex production issues, serving as a senior-level escalation point for critical incidents. 3 Lead code reviews and champion engineering standards, best practices, and secure coding principles. 3 Partner with architects, product owners, UX/UI teams, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise solutions. 3 Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and implementation roadmaps. 3 Define and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and release processes. 3 Monitor and optimize application performance using observability, logging, and monitoring tools. 3 Drive application modernization, scalability, and operational excellence initiatives. 3 Develop and maintain technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and support procedures. 3 Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance and code review feedback. 3 Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications youll bring as a Sr Development Engineer, Manhattan Active Required: 3 Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience) 3 5+ years of professional software development experience. 3 Strong expertise in Java, including object-oriented design, software architecture, and design patterns. 3 Proficiency in Python for application development, automation, and system integration. 3 Advanced experience with MySQL, including database design, SQL optimization, and performance tuning. 3 Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud engineering best practices. 3 Experience with Git-based development workflows and branching strategies. 3 Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, software testing, and application lifecycle management. 3 Knowledge of CI/CD practices and modern DevOps methodologies. 3 Experience working within cloud environments such as GCP, Azure, or AWS. 3 Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making capabilities. 3 Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 3 Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives. This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.
