Work you'll do/Responsibilities We are looking for a senior, hands-on analytics leader to own metrics, instrumentation, and reporting across multiple lines of business. This person will work independently with minimal oversight, setting their own priorities and driving work from definition through delivery. The role is highly visible and front-facing, so the ideal candidate is as comfortable explaining findings to business leaders as they are working through data with engineers
- Own the analytics and metrics for a couple of lines of business, from defining what to measure to delivering trusted, decision-ready reporting.
- Write clear instrumentation specifications so engineering teams capture the right data accurately and consistently.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable metrics pipelines, using hands-on data engineering where needed.
- Perform data sense checks, identify data quality issues, trace them to their source, and recommend improvements.
- Explore, mine, and analyze large datasets to uncover patterns and turn them into actionable insights.
- Create dashboards and visualizations that make complex data clear to a broad audience.
- Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders, presenting findings and recommendations with confidence.
- Act as the go-to contact for questions on the data, metrics, and reporting for the areas you own.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
- Ability to build and sustain professional relationships
- Ability to lead projects or workstreams
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to mentor and provide clear guidance to others
- Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
- Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes
Qualifications Required - 8+ years of relevant experience in analytics, data engineering, writing instrumentation specs, and/or creating visualizations.
- Strong data skills, including data validation, quality assessment, pattern discovery, and process improvement recommendations.
- Proficiency in SQL and Spark.
- Practical experience using AI tools for data exploration, mining, and analysis.
- Hands-on data engineering experience, as needed to support scalable metrics pipelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor the message to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities without close supervision.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or Applied Social Sciences.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Hybrid role - On-site Tue-Wed-Thu
Preferred - Experience owning a metric end to end, from instrumentation through pipeline to dashboard.
- Track record of presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions with data.
- Experience supporting multiple business domains at once
