McLane is seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join our Digital Identity team. In this role, you will design, engineer, govern, and support McLane's enterprise identity services while driving secure, scalable, and automated access management solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a combination of systems analysis, identity architecture, integration expertise, and security governance experience. You will partner closely with IT, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, HR, and business stakeholders to deliver identity lifecycle management, access governance, privileged access controls, and enterprise-wide integrations that strengthen security while improving operational efficiency. This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office at least three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX. What You'll Do: Identity Architecture & Business Systems Analysis • Analyze complex business processes, organizational structures, and access models to translate business requirements into technical IAM solutions. • Evaluate enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, and SaaS applications to identify integration opportunities, access risks, and workflow improvements. • Formulate architecture designs, identity data flows, and system specifications supporting enterprise identity services. • Assess IAM, IGA, and PAM technologies against operational needs and compliance requirements. • Support enterprise identity strategies aligned with Zero Trust and security best practices. Identity Lifecycle Management & Automation • Design and implement Joiner, Mover, and Leaver workflows across identity platforms and directory services. • Design automated identity provisioning and synchronization solutions utilizing APIs, SCIM, and modern integration technologies. • Build and maintain Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) frameworks. • Coordinate Privileged Access Management (PAM) integrations supporting credential vaulting, session monitoring, and Just-in-Time (JIT) access. • Enhance automation and orchestration capabilities to improve efficiency and user experience. System Testing & Operational Excellence • Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and validation procedures for IAM solutions. • Conduct integration testing and user acceptance testing with technical and business stakeholders. • Monitor identity platforms and directories across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. • Troubleshoot system issues, analyze performance, and ensure data integrity across connected systems. Compliance, Documentation & Governance • Create functional design documents, technical specifications, and system integration documentation. • Develop compliance reporting, audit analytics, and governance dashboards. • Author operational runbooks, support procedures, and training materials. • Support regulatory and internal audit requirements related to identity governance and access management. Leadership & Collaboration • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to IAM team members. • Participate in IAM roadmap development, architecture reviews, and security governance initiatives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance enterprise identity maturity and security capabilities. • Promote best practices for identity security, access governance, and operational excellence. What We're Looking For: • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related technical field required. • 3+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management, systems engineering, business systems analysis, enterprise software integration, or related IT disciplines. • Experience translating business requirements into technical workflows and system designs. • Hands-on experience with enterprise identity and directory technologies. Required Technical Skills: • Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, LDAP, and directory services. • Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms such as SailPoint, Saviynt, or Okta. • SSO and Federation technologies including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect (OIDC). • Privileged Access Management (PAM) concepts and technologies. • Scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, SQL, REST APIs, JSON, or YAML. • Cloud identity and access management concepts across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform. • Strong understanding of provisioning, deprovisioning, governance, access reviews, RBAC, ABAC, and least-privilege principles.
