Sr. Compensation Analyst

Charlotte, NC

The Role:

Work Model: Hybrid (Monday - Thursday in office; Friday remote)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, standard business hours (average 40 hrs/week, with overtime as required)

Travel Requirements: Yes, less than 10%

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Reports to: Director, Total Rewards

Summary / Primary Role:

The Sr. Compensation Analyst is responsible for implementing, administering, and maintaining Odyssey's compensation programs, including the annual merit cycle and incentive planning. Acting as an internal consultant, this role partners with HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide expertise on compensation, job evaluation, job design, and organizational architecture, ensuring the equitable, data-driven application of standards that align with Odyssey's compensation philosophy and business objectives.

What You'll Do:

We're looking for a detail-oriented compensation professional who can balance hands-on program administration with data-driven analysis and strong cross-functional consulting skills.
  • Compensation Program Administration
    • Process compensation requests including job evaluations and salary recommendations, identifying the extent and impact of changes to existing jobs, their relationship to other jobs, and internal equity.
    • Lead annual merit, bonus, and compensation planning processes, and support administration and communication for incentive plans, ensuring accurate calculations and payouts.
  • Market Analysis & Program Design
    • Evaluate market data and trends, conducting analyses to determine the competitiveness of Odyssey's compensation programs and making recommendations accordingly.
    • Design and maintain compensation metrics to support HR Business Partners and analyze the effectiveness of compensation programs
  • Stakeholder Partnership & Consultation
    • Act as an internal consultant, developing and maintaining strong relationships with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and business managers on compensation, job evaluation, job design, and organizational architecture.
    • Provide analytical support to evaluate plan effectiveness, metrics, and reporting for HR and business leaders.
  • Compliance & Governance
    • Ensure all compensation programs comply with applicable laws and regulations, such as FLSA, EEO, and ADA.
    • Ensure the equitable application of compensation standards through research, analysis, and recommendations aligned with Odyssey's compensation philosophy and business objectives.


What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience administering and analyzing compensation programs, with demonstrated proficiency in job analysis and evaluation, job description preparation, and salary administration
  • Familiarity with relevant compensation laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, EEO, ADA), with the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with employee information
  • Proven research, analytical, and statistical skills, with proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint) and advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and manage internal/external relationships
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification and experience with Dayforce HRIS are a plus
