How you'll get to contribute:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior CADD Specialist to join our growing Transportation and Infrastructure Division. This role serves a multi-consultant office program and will be based in Lower Manhattan, New York. As a part of our Transportation team, the CADD Specialist will be responsible for production drawings and as-builts utilizing sketches, diagrams, drawings, and plans. Examples of duties performed include interpreting, compiling, and processing technical engineering data and preparing special reports as requested; researching, assembling, and reviewing road, bridge, and structural data.
This assignment will be co-located with the design team in Lower Manhattan and is required to be on-site 5 days a week.
What you'll get to do:
- Prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs for preliminary and final plan sets using MicroStation and ProjectWise.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure coordinated designs.
- Apply standard drafting/design principles and theories to complete assignments.
- Use technical manuals to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable standards for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA).
- Understand engineering, architectural documentation and construction, including infrastructure.
Who you are:
- Required:
- Bridge/Structural design experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MicroStation (desired minimum of 3-5 years).
- Proficiency in ProjectWise.
- Experience with engineering, architectural, and construction documents (i.e., maps, drawings, technical specifications, etc.).
- Self-directed with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and communicate status and progress effectively.
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential documents and information.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Effective communication, organizational and time management skills. Attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and detail oriented.
- Preferred:
- New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) project experience.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Transportation Agencies.
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree desired.
- Demonstrated GIS (Geographic Information System) experience a plus.
- Proficiency in OpenRoads, OpenBridge, and Bluebeam Revu.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
