COMPENSATION:$92,400.00 - $144,375.00
This role requires associates to work out of a MVH North America hub location - New York, NY | Vancouver, WA | Santa Monica, CA | Tampa, FLWhy This Role Matters: Responsible for the procurement and acquisition of goods and services that deliver short-term procurement value and work to enhance processes and drive efficiency. Consult and advise business units or functions on the acquisition of goods and services of basic to moderate complexity across one or multiple categories.
Ensure the Practice has an uninterrupted supply of goods, services and equipment at the lowest overall demonstrated cost and to develop, foster and maintain effective communication and relationships with all internal and external customers. Participate in development, implementation, managing and monitoring of world class supply network practices ensuring the best value to the organization.
Fulfill responsibilities through proactive problem solving and communication skills, a focus on the internal customer, and contributing to our Mars Petcare purpose of a better world for pets.

- Partner with Sourcing to develop, execute and support category strategies that align
- with organizational goals, financial targets, and business priorities.
- Serve as the procurement lead for assigned categories, commodities, suppliers, or
- Leverage demand, spend and sourcing analytics to identify complex cost reduction, value creation, and risk mitigation opportunities.
- Lead moderately to highly complex sourcing initiatives, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, and contract awards.
- Provide expert consultation on complex contracts, negotiations, renewals and
- agreements, and lease agreements.
- Determine and engage appropriate stakeholders including Legal, Risk, Finance, IT, and business leaders throughout the sourcing and contracting process.
- Develop and execute supplier relationship management strategies that drive performance, service, quality, innovation and cost improvements.
- Support contract pipelines and partner with business units and finance to forecast contract renewals, budget impacts, and sourcing opportunities.
- Conduct advanced spend, supplier, and market analyses to support sourcing recommendations and negotiation strategies.
- Lead negotiations involving significant spend, business risk, operational impact, and contractual complexity.
- Lead implementation for assigned commodities, maintain business relationships, and drive operational improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement projects that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve procurement performance.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Buyers and other team members as needed.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on procurement processes, sourcing strategy, supplier management, and contract administration.
- Participate in ongoing purchasing process improvement efforts; evaluate and recommend best purchasing methods (formal and informal bid processes, purchase orders, disbursements, procurement cards, etc.).

Your Experience Should Include: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain & Logistics, Business Administration, Finance/Accounting or other business fields is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Years of Experience Required: 5 years of experience required relevant professional experience with understanding of the purchasing cycle & buying process required.
- Preferred knowledge of purchasing regulations, legal compliance, policies and procedures is required with demonstrated advanced negotiations, contract and sourcing skills preferred.
- Required ability to understand and interpret key financial statements and components of ROTA.
- Preferred ISM certification and understanding preferred.
Salary range: $84,667.00 - $132,292.00
Compensation is determined based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, location, and market competitiveness.
