Position Description: CGI is seeking to hire an experienced Business Architect - Value Stream & Service Design to help analyze, map, and redesign complex end to end business workflows spanning multiple business, operations, product, and technology teams.
In this role you'll develop a holistic view of how work moves across the organization, identify where value is created, uncover bottlenecks and inefficient handoffs, and help stakeholders design more effective future state workflows and service models.
Success in this role requires a combination of business architecture, value stream mapping, service design, operating model analysis, systems thinking, and strong stakeholder facilitation.
This is a Full Time, On-Site opportunity located in our Cary, NC or Plano, TX offices.
Your future duties and responsibilities: . Lead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and cross functional workshops
. Map complex end to end workflows, value streams, service interactions, and decision points
. Develop current state value stream maps and service blueprints
. Document roles, systems, dependencies, handoffs, governance, and ownership across teams
. Identify bottlenecks, delays, duplication, friction points, waste, and unclear accountability
. Analyze how people, processes, technology, governance, and organizational structures interact
. Translate complex information into clear, structured, and executive ready artifacts
. Partner with business, product, operations, and technology leaders to define future state workflows and service models
. Facilitate alignment across stakeholders with different priorities and perspectives
. Help clarify ownership, accountability, decision rights, and process boundaries
. Recommend improvements based on business value, feasibility, risk, and organizational readiness
. Develop practical, phased improvement roadmaps that support iterative transformation
. Help teams implement incremental improvements rather than relying solely on large scale redesign initiatives
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . 10+ years of relevant experience in business architecture, service design, process architecture, operating model design, or value stream transformation
. Strong expertise in value stream mapping, service blueprinting, workflow/process mapping, and operating model analysis
. Proven experience working across complex, multi team and cross functional environments
. Strong ability to identify systemic bottlenecks, inefficiencies, handoff failures, and process improvement opportunities
. Experience documenting complex business processes, dependencies, roles, decision points, and governance structures
. Strong systems thinking capabilities with the ability to connect people, process, technology, governance, and business outcomes
. Strong facilitation skills and experience leading discovery sessions and workshops
. Ability to work effectively with senior leaders, subject matter experts, business teams, operations, product, and technology stakeholders
. Ability to convert ambiguity and complex information into clear artifacts, recommendations, and actionable improvement plans
. Excellent written, verbal, visual, and executive communication skills
. Strong stakeholder management, relationship building, and influencing capabilities
. Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite
Desired Skills:
. Experience in Financial Services, Asset Management, or other highly regulated and operationally complex industries
. Understanding of governance, compliance, legal, risk, and operational control points within digital delivery environments
. Experience working across product, engineering, UX, operations, and business teams
. Experience with organizational or operating model transformation
. Familiarity with tools such as Miro, Lucidchart, Visio, Figma, and Confluence
. Experience creating executive level transformation roadmaps and recommendations
Education: Bachelor's in computer science or closely related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 $153,300.00.
