OverviewHow you can make a difference As a Senior Business Analyst on the HSA Core Product team, you'll help turn data into product decisions that affect how hundreds of thousands of members save, contribute, and grow their HSA balances. Your primary focus will be uncovering what the data says - where contribution and revenue trends are moving, what's driving them, and where the biggest opportunities are - while also contributing to requirements and business process definition where needed to support the team.
What you'll be doing - Analyze contribution balances, cash balances, and revenue trends to surface opportunities and headwinds across the HSA core product (with likely expansion into HRA and commuter benefits)
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries against large, relational datasets
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that Product Managers and senior leadership use directly to make product decisions
- Use AI tools daily (Claude/Claude Code preferred) for query writing, data exploration, and finding/explaining data issues; Databricks and Databricks Genie experience strongly preferred
- Partner closely with the Director of Product Decision Support and other data-focused teammates, with data and insight as the primary deliverable
- Contribute to requirements documentation and business process definition as needed to support product and engineering teams
- Present findings clearly to Product Managers and senior leadership to inform decision-making
What you will need to be successful- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or a related field, with demonstrated SQL expertise
- Strong SQL skills - required
- Experience in fintech, HSA, HRA, FSA, or another regulated financial services environment preferred (FSA experience translates well)
- Active, daily use of AI tools for data work; experience with Claude preferred, but experience with other AI assistants (ChatGPT, Codex, etc.) is also welcome
- Databricks and Databricks Genie experience a strong plus
- Comfortable writing clear requirements and translating business needs for engineering teams
- Comfortable presenting data-driven findings and recommendations to product leadership
- Thrives in a fast-moving, evolving environment with some ambiguity

Onboarding & TravelThis is a remote role, with an in-person onboarding training component. New team members must participate in Trailhead, HealthEquity's immersive onboarding experience Trailhead is designed to foster meaningful connections, support your integration into the organization, and equip you with a strong understanding of our business. Trailhead participation is a key expectation of this role. Trailhead is held onsite at our headquarters once per quarter. HealthEquity covers all required travel and accommodations.
This role may begin with a virtual, self-paced onboarding experience, followed by a mandatory onsite Trailhead session at a later date.
