Position DetailsTitle: Sr. Brand DesignerDepartment: MarketingReports to: Manager, Brand DesignLocation: Dearborn, MIJob Classification: HybridFLSA Status: ExemptJob Band: ProfessionalJob Summary A Senior Brand Designer at Carhartt is an experienced design professional responsible for leading graphic design projects, mentoring junior designers, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring all creative work aligns with the Carhartt brand. This role is responsible for developing impactful visual concepts across various mediums. It requires a strong understanding of design principles, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and excellent communication skills to guide the design process from conception to final execution.
Associate Responsibilities - Lead the creation of visual concepts for new campaigns and brand initiatives.
- Manage asset creation and distribution with larger cross-functional teams.
- Design initiatives may include creative centers, brand guidelines, logos, icons, retail signage, catalogs, presentation design, motion graphics and digital support.
- Engage in team building
- Support a healthy creative environment with fellow team members through collaboration and constructive critique.
- Help mentor junior designers.
- Work closely with the Brand Design Manager playing a key role in researching and proposing innovative design concepts and creative ideas to contribute to Carhartt's brand evolution.
- Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
- Work with cross-functional partners
- Partner with Marketing, Product, and Creative leadership to ensure brand consistency, effectiveness and efficiency across all brand channels.
Required Education - Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Required Skills & Experience - 7+ years of creative design experience
- Agency or In-house brand experience is required
- Portfolio demonstrating high-quality creative work for retail, packaging, promotions, social, or ad campaigns
- Ability to translate strategy into creative solutions that are uniquely Carhartt. Demonstrated ability to create presentation decks and articulate concepts
- Deep understanding of brand integrity and brand standardization
- Good organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail
- Experience and proficiency using Adobe creative suite
- Extra credit for experience in Figma/Miro, motion graphics, illustration or photography
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions - Office environment; cubicle setting
- Domestic travel required (up to 25%)
- This position has a Hybrid location: Associate will work on-site regularly as needed for work activities.
