Position Summary Position SummaryProvides technical, commercial, and application support for pollution control and filtration systems. Partners with customers, distributors, and Parker sales teams to design effective solutions, resolve system issues, deliver product training, and support successful installation. Contributes to Division growth through sales support, market intelligence, product development input, and key account management.
Scope, Supervision, and InteractionBuilds and maintains relationships with key customer technical, operations, and environmental personnel, including maintenance teams, supervisors, plant managers, and environmental managers. Collaborates across Division functions, including Sales, Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Operations, and Marketing.
Works independently with minimal day-to-day supervision while providing regular project updates to team leaders and management. May require travel, site visits, and support outside normal business hours.
Essential FunctionsCustomer and Technical Support- Serve as a trusted technical resource for key customers, distributors, and the Parker sales team.
- Evaluate customer applications and recommend appropriate filtration and pollution control solutions.
- Troubleshoot operational issues in customer dust collection and filtration systems through on-site, phone, and electronic support.
- Provide engineering and application support to help ensure products meet customer performance requirements.
- Deliver technical product training for customers and distributors.
- Support final sales closure by communicating product value, performance capabilities, and application fit.
Key Account and Installation Support- Manage assigned key accounts by developing strong relationships with technical and operations stakeholders.
- Assist with quotations and coordinate technical oversight of filtration product installation contractors.
- Monitor project progress and communicate status, findings, risks, and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare timely reports related to product performance, customer projects, territories, and market activity.
Product, Market, and Competitive Intelligence- Partner with Design Engineering and Manufacturing to develop new or improved products based on customer requirements and market needs.
- Maintain current knowledge of competitive products, industry activity, and market trends.
- Provide regular competitive and market intelligence reports to management.
- Identify changes that may affect the competitiveness of Parker products and recommend appropriate response strategies.
- Investigate opportunities for innovative products through customer engagement, trade associations, online research, and Corporate resources; communicate opportunities to Engineering for evaluation and development.
Operational Excellence- Maintain the highest standards of customer service, responsiveness, quality, and operational throughput.
- Participate in Division Lean initiatives and support continuous-improvement activities.
Qualifications QualificationsRequired- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Five to seven years of relevant experience in sales, field service, manufacturing, engineering, or a comparable technical-commercial role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to analyze, explain, and discuss complex technical issues.
- Demonstrated technical writing skills, including the ability to prepare clear, accurate reports and documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of financial statements and basic financial analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Lotus Notes is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 50%.
Preferred- Experience working in industrial plant operations or manufacturing environments.
- Technical knowledge of industrial ventilation, air filtration, and dust collection systems.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
