SummaryUnder general supervision, this position will play a critical role across all risk management functions by using data to identify opportunities to strengthen safety, improve claims performance, and optimize total cost of risk. This is a highly collaborative position requiring strong analytical ability and interpersonal skills to influence site teams and vendors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Import, clean, validate, and reconcile data from insurers, TPAs, brokers, and other sources.
- Create incident and claims performance reports identifying trends, anomalies, and root causes to better focus safety initiatives.
- Track progress toward resolving corrective actions and risk-improvement items identified during risk control surveys.
- Monitor vendor compliance with insurance requirements, safety protocols, and risk policies.
- Partner with Property Management to ensure compliance and improve performance of in-house Tenant Damage Waiver and Security Deposit Alternative Programs
- Collect and validate underwriting and exposure information for insurance renewals and new insurance placements
- Analyze total cost of risk (premiums, retained losses, admin costs) and report year-over-year changes using changes in exposure data (payroll, TIV, etc.) to incorporate rates where available.
- Establish effective working relationships with colleagues, insurers, and brokers.
- Maintain schedules of insured assets (property values, vehicles, locations, employee/payroll data)
- Maintain safety training records and support compliance with OSHA recordkeeping (Forms 300/300A/301)
- Monitor policy expirations, audit deadlines, and renewal timelines
- Perform benchmarking against industry, carrier, and peer data (e.g., BLS incident rates, NCCI/WCIRB data)
- Additional projects &/or tasks as needed
Experience - Bachelor's degree required; preference will be given to candidates with degrees in related fields.
- 1-3 years of experience working in an analytical, safety, or risk control capacity with an Insurance Company, Insurance Broker, or other insurance related business
Qualifications - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Capable of presenting findings and translating data to department leaders.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently while also working well in a group setting.
- Required travel is limited and is not expected to exceed 5% of time.
Benefits - $85,000 - $100,000 plus year end discretionary bonus
