Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Retail Capital Management, this individual contributor role supports consolidated reporting, analysis, governance, and portfolio stewardship for Nutrien Retail's global capital portfolio. This position applies professional expertise to both routine and non-routine situations, develops and refines Retail capital standards, and supports compliance with Enterprise Capital policies and procedures. The role collaborates with Retail Operations, FP&A, Procurement, Enterprise Capital, Valuations and other corporate teams to deliver accurate capital information, generate actionable insights, and support decision-making aligned to strategic KPI metrics.

What You'll Do:

  • Compile, analyze, and report Retail's monthly capital portfolio information, working with business and corporate partners to understand the drivers affecting capital portfolio performance
  • Create, tailor, and distribute capital management reports, presentations, and templates that meet stakeholder needs and support clear, accountable capital stewardship
  • Manage the distribution of approved planned funds from the Retail portfolio to geographical portfolios and track approved changes throughout the year
  • Assist with developing and refining Retail capital standards, process flowcharts, and support tools that align with Nutrien-wide governance frameworks
  • Foster engagement with Retail Operations by improving the clarity and effectiveness of capital practices and influencing adoption of capital standards
  • Monitor portfolio activity, address non-compliance events by educating business partners on capital governance requirements and support the continued maturity of Retail's project and portfolio management practices while maintaining strong trusted relationships with Retail Operations
  • Serve as the owner of Retail's capital project economic modeling tools and financial lookback processes
  • Assist with the development, aggregation, and analysis of capital planning processes, including annual capital budgeting, the five-year capital strategic plan, and monthly capital financial reviews

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field is required
  • 4+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, including budgeting, forecasting, valuation, and scenario planning
  • Advanced skills in large-scale data consolidation and analysis using data cube connections, web APIs, and Power Query
  • Experience maintaining SharePoint pages, links, calendars, lists, and web parts
  • Experience creating PowerPoint presentations and templates; think-cell experience is an asset
  • Familiarity with IFRS 16 and IAS 16 asset accounting; SAP FI/CO experience is an asset
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with retail agriculture performance metrics, including cash conversion cycle, DSO, working capital-to-sales, EBITDA-to-sales, and cash operating coverage
  • Experience creating project economic models, explaining key outputs including IRR, NPV, payback period, and EBITDA, and assessing impacts across cash flow, income statement, and balance sheet
  • Skilled in translating complex financial concepts into clear business insights
  • Self-motivated, with strong integrity and business ethics
  • Ability to travel occasionally (less than 10%)

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role, in Deerfield, IL, is between $82,900 - $130,130. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
