About the role

The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis, will be an integral member of Reworld’s Finance team and serve as a strategic finance partner to the IT organization. This role is designed for an experienced FP&A professional with strong knowledge of IT cost structures, technology investments, and financial governance. The Senior Analyst will lead planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision support for IT operating expenses and capital investments while contributing to company-wide management reporting and strategic analysis.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Overheads, the Senior Analyst will independently manage core IT FP&A activities and partner closely with IT leadership, Accounting, Procurement, and business stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Own key components of the annual budget, monthly forecast, and long-range planning processes for the IT function, including expense, headcount, and capital investment planning.
  • Serve as the primary FP&A business partner to IT leaders, attending monthly financial reviews, identifying risks and opportunities, and translating technology priorities into clear financial implications.
  • Develop and maintain detailed forecasts for IT cost categories, including software and SaaS subscriptions, cloud hosting and consumption, managed services, telecommunications, hardware, cybersecurity, professional services, and labor.
  • Partner with Accounting and IT project owners on month-end close, accruals, purchase orders, prepaid expenses, capitalization, depreciation, and project-to-asset transitions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Evaluate technology business cases and investment proposals using ROI, payback, total cost of ownership, and scenario analysis; monitor approved initiatives against budget, milestones, and expected benefits.
  • Drive improvements in IT financial reporting, planning models, spend transparency, data quality, and governance; perform ad hoc analysis and strategic projects as needed.

Senior Analyst, IT Financial Planning & Analysis

Location: Florham Park, NJ (Hybrid schedule 3 days in office/2 days from home)

Reports to: SeniorManager, Overheads

Experience Required: 3+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or business finance experience, including meaningful responsibility supporting an IT or technology organization.
Travel Percentage: As needed

Education Required:  BS or BA degree in finance, accounting, or economics. MBA / CPA a plus

Education & Experience requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or business finance experience, with direct experience supporting IT budgets, forecasts, and technology investments in a complex organization.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or relevant technology-finance experience is a plus.

Other key skills required include:

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to connect operating drivers to P&L, cash flow, and capital impacts.
  • Demonstrated understanding of IT financial management, including operating versus capital expense, software capitalization, cloud and SaaS cost models, vendor contracts, project spend, and technology cost allocation.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions, independently identify financial risks and opportunities, and provide credible recommendations to IT and Finance leaders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience building scalable forecasting models and executive-ready reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Performance Management tools is preferred, including Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service, Hyperion, or Smart View ad hoc reporting.
  • Experience with ERP, procurement, project portfolio management, IT service management, or technology business management data is a plus.
  • Strong communication and business-partnering skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders and present complex financial information clearly to senior management.
  • Self-directed, highly accountable, and able to deliver accurate, high-quality work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

  

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $95,200.00 - $126,700.00 USD per annum
