What You'll Get To Do:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Finance & Accounting team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial reporting, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Performs the following duties directly or through subordinates:

Essential Duties:
  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate and support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Provide end-of-the-month and end-of-year reports to corporate tax department for corporate tax returns.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing insights and recommendations for financial planning.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and guidance for decision making.
  • Support the preparation of consolidation financial closing in Eva-Net and WING and prepare consolidated financial analyses. Summarizing the year-end evaluation report with HR for bonus calculation.
  • Maintain Up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and best practices. Lead and mentor direct reports. Continuously strive to improve processes.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Three (3) years of experience leading a team.

Education and / or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent in Accounting Finance, or related field.

Language Skills:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, clients, public groups and/or boards of directors. Bilingual Preferred ( English / Spanish).

Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Other Abilities:
  • Minimum three years of supervisory experience is required.

Licenses, Certificates, Registration:
  • CPA Strongly Preferred

The wage range of $80,000 - $85,000 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
