Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in retail, fashion, or consumer goods industries.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA track preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial analyses and variance explanations for accurate reporting.
• Reconcile retail sales and transactions, investigating discrepancies with store operations.
• Manage fixed assets, accruals, and employee expense reports among other general ledger accounts.
• Support retail accounting activities like chargeback resolution and customer inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with sales tax and other regulatory reporting requirements.
• Partner with various cross-functional teams to ensure financial transaction accuracy.
• Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
