About the RoleHi, SLPs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based position in
Forest City, NC. You'll support students by providing speech and language services that directly impact communication and learning.
What You'll Do- Administers screening protocols
- Administers therapeutic treatment protocols written by the speech-language pathologist.
- Communicates with students and other professionals to meet the emotional needs of students.
- Obtains case histories and completes observation checklists.
- Manages behavior using appropriately designed management techniques.
- Summarizes and records target behaviors during therapy sessions.
What We're Looking For- Passing score on a competency test approved by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists
- Registration as an assistant with the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- School-based experience preferred, not required
Benefits apply to 0.8 FTE and above after a short waiting period.
