Speech & Language Pathologist - Inpatient Feeding & Swallowing - Boston
Otolaryngology & Communication Enhancement

The Speech & Language Pathologist will be responsible for:
  • Comprehensive assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders in the inpatient setting, including Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU), and Acute Care Units
  • Performing instrumental assessment of swallowing, including Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies and/or Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)
  • Providing family education, bedside provider training, and case coordination
  • Participating in unit rounds, specialty team rounds, and case conferences
  • Completing documentation related to feeding and swallowing assessment and treatment
  • Working in close collaboration and partnership with physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other health care professionals

To qualify, you must have:
  • A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA)
  • 3-5 years of directly related clinical experience in pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders is required. Clinical Fellows will not be considered.
  • A current Massachusetts state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with inter-professional teams in a fast-paced medical environment.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
