The Speech-Language Pathologist provides treatment to children/adults at our outpatient facility and is a vital member of a multidisciplinary team providing advanced, high-quality healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates and treats speech, language, and swallowing needs in children and adults of all ages and diagnoses.
- Develops individualized treatment plans and sets goals for children/adults diagnosed as needing speech and language/feeding/swallowing interventions. Re-evaluates and modifies treatment programs as warranted.
- Selects appropriate evaluation tool(s) for the purpose of assessment.
- Provide speech therapy services to children with IEPs.
- Areas addressed include articulation, voice, fluency, receptive and expressive language skills, oral motor competence and dysphagia.
- Accurate documentation for all patient visits in EMR
- Educate patient and family members.
- Work with the interdisciplinary team when indicated for plan of care.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech and Language from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- New York State license and registration in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- BLS certification.
- TSSLD Certification is required.
- Pediatric MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) experience preferred.
- Pediatric and adult outpatient experience preferred.
- Infant feeding experience preferred.
- Ideal candidates possess a passion for and experience in pediatrics and enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to comply with all regulatory standards.
Posted Salary RangeUSD $45.96 - USD $57.50 /Hr.
