Position Summary:

The Senior Specialty Health Platform Lead is a senior individual contributor responsible for the health, standards, and build integrity of the Specialty Health digital platform stack. This role ensures configuration and builds decisions across programs, PSP migrations, HCP and physician portals, patient-facing experiences, and AI-enabled capabilities are consistent, sustainable, and aligned with platform standards across CRM, integration, and adjacent technologies.

The role serves as the technical conscience of the Specialty Health platform at the working level. It partners closely with Solution Architecture to translate architectural direction into buildable patterns, guides program teams on the right way to build against the platform, and surfaces platform risk and technical debt into portfolio planning.

This is a senior IC role that leads through platform expertise and technical influence, without direct reports, or vendor management.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Standards and Configuration Integrity
  • Own and enforce configuration standards across programs - object model discipline, permission sets, workflows, validation rules, naming, and reusability patterns.
  • Review and approve significant configuration changes before promotion to higher environments.
  • Prevent duplication when programs propose building capabilities that already exist on the platform.

Platform Health and Technical Debt Stewardship
  • Maintain a running technical debt inventory and surface priorities into portfolio planning.
  • Own environment strategy at the working level, including environment cadence, data seeding, and environment hygiene.

Solution Build Guidance
  • Partner with Solution Architecture to translate architectural direction into buildable configuration and integration patterns.
  • Guide program teams Product Owners, admins, and developers on the right way to build against the platform.
  • Participate in refinement and design sessions to keep builds aligned with platform standards.

AI Enablement at the Platform Layer
  • Perform hands-on evaluation of AI capabilities as they are enabled in the Specialty Health platform stack.
  • Partner with Solution Architecture and Solution Analysis on platform-layer decisions for AI enablement, including capability fit, configuration patterns, and operational readiness.
  • Steward AI-related platform standards, including data handling, safety, and governance at the working level.

Cross-Program Platform Coordination
  • Identify and flag cross-program dependencies before they become integration or delivery risks.
  • Run a light-touch platform working group across program admins and developers to share standards, patterns, and known issues.
  • Escalate platform risk to Solution Architecture and Specialty Health leadership as appropriate.

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
  • 10+ years working across healthcare or life sciences digital platforms in product, delivery, or platform capacity, with hands-on configuration and platform stewardship exposure.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise CRM, integration, and AI platform patterns, with depth in Salesforce Health Cloud, Service Cloud, or comparable healthcare platforms.
  • Demonstrated understanding of platform health metrics, technical debt patterns, and environment strategy across enterprise digital stacks.
  • Proven ability to enforce standards and influence build decisions across program teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence developers, admins, and technology leaders.

Additional Skills:
  • Prior experience at or with enterprise platform vendors, including Salesforce or comparable healthcare technology providers.
  • Exposure to integration patterns, downstream system dependencies, and enterprise data flows.
  • Familiarity with AI capability enablement across Salesforce-native and adjacent platforms.
  • Awareness of Canadian healthcare privacy and regulatory frameworks (PHIPA, PIPEDA).
  • Experience operating within a formal platform governance model.

Business Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Product Management, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience considered.
  • Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience working across healthcare or life sciences digital platforms in product, delivery, or platform capacities, with demonstrated hands-on configuration and platform stewardship expertise.
  • Experience partnering with Solution Architecture, guiding cross-functional delivery teams, and driving platform governance, technical debt management, and environment strategy across enterprise digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently on complex assignments, influence technical decisions without direct authority, and ensure platform consistency across multiple programs and initiatives.
