Full Job Description
Description

The Opportunity:

Salesforce Architect serves as the primary technical and architectural authority for the Salesforce ecosystem. This role is responsible for defining the overall platform strategy, designing scalable enterprise architecture, and setting data, security, and integration standards. Salesforce Architect bridges business strategy and technical execution-partnering with business leaders, product owners, and engineering teams to ensure that solutions built on the platform align with long-term business goals, system performance requirements, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Platform Architecture & Technical Strategy: Lead the end-to-end architectural vision and road mapping for the Salesforce platform. Establish platform design principles, maintain governance frameworks, and ensure long-term system scalability, maintainability, and stability.
  • System Integration & Data Modeling: Design secure, high-performance REST/SOAP API integrations, event-driven architectures, and middleware patterns connecting Salesforce with ERPs, data warehouses, and third-party enterprise tools. Establish robust data models, Large Data Volume (LDV) strategies, and data retention policies.
  • Technical Governance & Standards: Define and enforce standards for Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flow development. Conduct formal architectural reviews, evaluate technical trade-offs (e.g., custom code vs. declarative vs. AppExchange solutions), and lead peer code and design reviews.
  • Security & Identity Architecture: Architect single sign-on (SSO), OAuth flows, identity management, and fine-grained security/sharing models (Roles, Profiles, Permission Set Groups, Restriction Rules) to protect sensitive data and comply with regulatory standards.
  • DevOps, Release & Lifecycle Management: Oversee the enterprise deployment pipeline, environment management, and branch strategies using modern DevOps methodologies, version control (Git/GitHub), CI/CD pipelines, and release management tools (Copado, Salesforce DX).
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical mentorship and guidance to Salesforce Developers, Administrators, and Business Analysts. Translate complex technical concepts for C-suite and business stakeholders, acting as the subject matter expert on platform capabilities and limitations.

Technical Skills:
  • Architecture & Enterprise Patterns: Integration Architecture, Enterprise Data Modeling, Event-Driven Architecture (Platform Events, Change Data Capture), Large Data Volume (LDV) management, and Identity/Access Management.
  • Development & Declarative Frameworks: Deep technical expertise across the full platform stack, including Apex, LWC, Flow Builder, Custom Metadata, SOQL/SOSL performance tuning, and asynchronous processing.
  • Tooling & CI/CD: Salesforce DX, Git/GitHub, Copado, Data Loader, VS Code, and API testing suites (Postman, REST/SOAP tools).
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Cross-functional leadership, enterprise solution design, Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks, vendor evaluation, and technical risk assessment.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, with 3+ years acting as a lead architect designing complex, multi-system enterprise integrations.
  • Salesforce Certified System Architect or Application Architect
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Integration Architect, or Data Architect.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and executive-level presentation skills with a proven track record of aligning technical designs with strategic business objectives.

Humble. Hungry. Smart. Does this sound like you?

Do others describe you as being a down-to-earth achiever? Someone who thinks outside the box and always strives to do more than what is required. Someone who sees the bigger picture? You sound brilliant to work with!
