Position Title: Special Project Manager- Server and NetworkPosition Overview: is actively seeking a Special Projects Coordinator and business analyst providing managerial support and subject matter expertise to the Program Management Office (PMO) in the operation of assigned mission areas. The duties span broad and various elements of acquisition and logistics, requiring the incumbent to be able to exercise a wide range of technical expertise and knowledge to gain PMO approval to plan, develop, implement, review, analyze, measure, and improve all aspects of Component/unit maintenance and logistics effecting the successful, efficient, and timely completion of assigned projects. Special Project Managers provide executive-level staffing actions and briefings for all integrated logistics support programs, evaluating priorities in relation to strategic plans and recommend corrective actions, and developing logistics support plans for all mission design systems and related subsystems. This category of PMO support provides analysis, problem identification and recommended solutions for the Unit's most difficult, complex, and critical maintenance processes, conducts independent or coordinated studies to identify, evaluate or recommend solutions to management problems. Special Project Managers provide recommendations for issues that require new procedures resulting in changes to established work methods. These managers provide input and recommendations to the PMO towards the direction of automated and database business analysis tools, modeling and concepts including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). A Special Project Manager performs routine clerical, administrative, and logistics tasks as required
Position Responsibilities: - Function as senior-level infrastructure architect, network security lead, and systems engineer responsible for securing tactical networks, automating hybrid cloud/on-premise environments
- Responsible for managing core tactical mainstay servers (TAK/CoT, Compass Video, and TRAX Data Translation/Routing).
- Oversees end-to-end tactical data flows -- from edge sensors and shooters up through the operational and strategic data layers.
Position Requirements:- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or an Aviation discipline OR 5 years' of SOF experience with operational component in the domain of tactical ground, maritime or aviation
Preferred Skills:- Possess comprehensive expertise in Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS), transport protection using Layer 2 vs. Layer 3 VPNs, multicast vs. unicast traffic management, and hybrid enterprise infrastructure.
Required Security Clearance: Required Certification(s): - CompTIA Sec+ CE (IAT Level II) or CISSP (IAT Level III baseline)
