PeopleTec is currently seeking a Special Programs Integration Engineerto support our Huntsville, ALlocation.

The Special Programs Integration Engineer serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Offensive Fires Command and Control (C2) Integration within the Product Manager Scalable Hypersonics (PdM SHY). Addressing a critical capability gap, this role provides technical leadership, C2 integration oversight, and systems engineering support across three active and expanding hypersonic missile programs.

The primary focus is driving the near-term priority, Medium Range Offensive Munition (MROM), by overseeing the complex integration of the Blackbeard hypersonic missile onto the HIMARS launch platform and subsequently onto the CAML launcher. The SME will spearhead intense coordination and technical collaboration across key external stakeholders, including PM STORM, the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration (S3I) software development team, and PdM SHY leadership

DUTIES:

  • Offensive Fires C2 Integration: Serve as the primary C2 Integration SME overseeing system architecture, software alignment, and tactical control capabilities across PdM SHY's hypersonic missile programs.
  • MROM & Blackbeard Program Execution: Direct the technical integration of the Blackbeard hypersonic missile onto the HIMARS launch platform and manage follow-on integration efforts onto the CAML launcher in support of the MROM priority.
  • Cross-Stakeholder Synchronization: Lead intense coordination and technical collaboration with PM STORM, the S3I software development team, PdM SHY, government matrix engineering teams, and industry partners.
  • System-of-Systems Interface Alignment: Develop, refine, and validate interface requirements, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Concepts of Operation (CONOPS) for C2, missile, and launcher integration.
  • Engineering Analysis & Technical Trade Studies: Conduct feasibility assessments, software/hardware trade studies, and integration evaluations to ensure seamless interoperability between launch platforms, C2 architectures, and strike weapon systems.
  • Special Programs & Technical Oversight: Provide engineering support for sensitive, high-priority hypersonic and offensive fires initiatives within special access environments.
  • Executive Decision Products: Prepare technical briefings, integration roadmaps, software interface specifications, and risk assessments for PdM SHY, PM STORM, and senior DoD leadership.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 7 610+ years of progressive engineering, technical project management, or system integration experience within DoD, U.S. Army, or Joint weapon system program offices.
  • Offensive Fires & C2 Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in Command & Control (C2) systems integration, launch platform interfaces, or tactical fires software.
  • System Engineering & Architecture: Strong background in systems engineering, requirements definition, software/hardware interface control (ICDs), and complex system-of-systems integration.
  • Multi-Agency Stakeholder Coordination: Proven ability to drive consensus and lead complex integration efforts across external PMs, software centers (e.g., S3I), and cross-functional government teams.
  • Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with experience presenting technical decision products to senior Army and DoD leadership.
  • Tools: Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Project).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Travel: 10%
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Top Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active DoD Top Secret / SCI with Special Access Required (TS/SCI/SAR) upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Software) or a closely related technical field.
  • Masters degree preferred.

Desired Skills:

  • Direct experience with PdM Scalable Hypersonics (SHY) programs (MROM, Blackbeard, CAML, Sirena, or ASHS).
  • Prior integration experience with HIMARS, PM STORM, or S3I software development environments.
  • Background in hypersonic strike systems, advanced munitions, missile C2 architectures, or artillery launch systems.
  • Experience working within PEO Missiles and Space, RCCTO, DARPA, or Service Research Laboratories.
