Special Operations Medical Advisor
The Opportunity:
As an Exercise Planner, you will bring your special operations medicine, tactical medicine, and operational experience to support complex expeditionary training and readiness requirements. You will use your expertise to plan, develop, coordinate, execute, and assess realistic tactical medical scenarios and provide observations and recommendations that strengthen medical readiness and interoperability.
You will support pre-deployment training and certification exercises by evaluating tactical medical performance in austere environments, supporting medical and emergency evacuation planning for high-risk training, and advising on advanced point-of-injury care, prolonged casualty care, and casualty evacuation. You will apply advanced consulting skills and technical expertise to assess medical capabilities, support post-exercise analysis, refine training practices and procedures, and coordinate with operational staff, medical professionals, instructors, evaluators, and other stakeholders. Your role will also include supporting the integration of operational medical guidance into expeditionary training and participating in working groups, curriculum reviews, exercise assessments, and other activities that improve tactical medical training and readiness.

You Have:
30+ years of experience in special operations medicine, operational medicine, tactical medicine, or a military medical field providing advanced tactical trauma care, operational medicine, prolonged casualty care or prolonged field care, and casualty management in austere operational environments
30 Experience completing at least one full deployment cycle with an Amphibious Ready Group or Marine Expeditionary Unit in a medical capacity supporting a Maritime Raid Force, reconnaissance element, or Command Element
30 Experience with advanced tactical trauma care, operational medicine, prolonged casualty care or prolonged field care, and casualty management in austere operational environments
30 Experience supporting high-risk military training or operations involving airborne, diving, maritime, insertion and extraction, breaching, or specialized activities
30 Knowledge of Tactical Combat Casualty Care principles, advanced point-of-injury care, and tactical casualty management
30 Ability to develop, evaluate, and provide recommendations on tactical medical training, casualty scenarios, medical readiness, medical safety planning, and emergency response procedures
30 Top Secret clearance
30 Current NREMT-Paramedic, USSOCOM Advanced Tactical Paramedic, and Tactical Combat Casualty Care Tier 4 Instructor certifications
30 Completion of military Basic Airborne Training, combatant Diver or Diving Medical Technician training, and an approved Level-C Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape course
30 HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
30 Experience supporting ARG or MEU pre-deployment training or certification exercises
30 Experience with Marine Corps training and readiness standards, training management processes, and operational planning
30 Knowledge of amphibious operations, reconnaissance operations, raids, maritime interdiction, visit-board-search-and-seizure activities, and expeditionary operations
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
Compensation
Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
