Job DescriptionSpecial Inspector - Dupont, WAThe Special Inspectoris responsible for providing special inspectors for Tacoma and surrounding area projects. Scope includes but is not limited to Reinforced Concrete, Structural Masonry, Soil & Asphalt compaction testing.
Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am-5pm, rarely weekends/nights depending on specific project needsSalary & Benefits InformationThe base wage or salary range for this position is $35 to $45 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:- Perform inspections and testing in accordance with approved procedures, codes, and specifications
- Prepare accurate daily field reports including description of work performed.
- Professionally interface with onsite contractors to address issues and solve problems

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in the Special Inspection or Construction Industry
- ICC Reinforced Concrete
- Valid WA Enhanced Driver's License, equivalent Real ID, or valid Passport. Reliable driving record is required
- Strong report writing, communication, and time management skills
- Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs frequently
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:- 5+ years experience in the Special Inspection or Construction Industry
- 1+ years of nuclear density testing experience
- ICC Soils or ability to acquire within 3 months of hire
- WABO Post-Installed Anchors
- WABO Reinforced Concrete
- WABO Structural Masonry
- WABO Spray Applied Fire Resistive Materials or ability to acquire within 3 months of hire
- WABO Fire-Resistant Penetrations and Joints or ability to acquire within 3 months of hire
