About the RoleHello, Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a
Special Education Teacher to support students in
Colorado Springs, CO for the [redacted] school year. In this role, you'll provide individualized and small-group instruction, support students with diverse learning needs, develop and implement IEPs, and collaborate with school teams to help students succeed.
You'll work alongside a collaborative school team and receive support from Ampersand Therapy throughout your assignment.
What You'll Do- Provide individualized and small-group specialized instruction
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Provide academic and behavioral support
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
What We're Looking For- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide individualized support and instruction
- Passion for helping students with diverse learning needs succeed
