Titre du poste: Spécialiste principal(e), systèmes de contrôle

Le spécialiste principal des systèmes de contrôle sera chargé de concevoir, valider et certifier les systèmes de contrôle des moteurs à turbine à gaz, incluant les nouvelles lignes de produit, les moteurs dérivés et les démonstrateurs hybrides/nouvelles technologies. Le candidat retenu développera des exigences au niveau des systèmes à-propos des commandes de moteur. Au cours de la phase de conception du moteur / de l'aéronef, il / elle travaillera avec les fabricants d'aéronefs pour développer les fonctionnalités du système de contrôle.

Il / elle travaillera avec une équipe multidisciplinaire (performance, opérabilité, sécurité/sureté de fonctionnement, disciplines de conception, soutien à la clientèle, etc.) pour correspondre à la fonctionnalité du système de contrôle par rapport aux exigences des moteurs et des aéronefs. Le candidat retenu devra comprendre la dynamique de la turbomachine et les processus ARP 4754A/DO-178C pendant qu'il / elle prépare les éléments de preuve à l'appui du certificat pour le type de moteur.

Il / elle travaillera également en étroite collaboration avec les fournisseurs pour vérifier les logiciels et les données de test pour les essais du système de contrôle effectués sur des simulations, sur le moteur et sur aéronef et d'enquêter sur les incidents survenus chez nos clients.

Le poste est à temps plein du lundi au vendredi selon des horaires flexibles à Longueuil et s'effectue exclusivement en présentiel.

À quoi ressemblera votre quotidien ?
  • Définir les exigences des systèmes de contrôle en étroite collaboration avec des clients internes et externes.
  • Traduire les concepts en réalité avec les équipes de design logiciel de P&WC et nos fournisseurs, pour que chaque exigence soit interprétée et appliquée correctement.
  • Concevoir et exécuter des tests de validation - plans de test, bancs d'essai de simulation, essais moteur, et essais en vol.
  • Décoder les données de tests et en tirer des conclusions.
  • Générer des rapports de certification de haute qualité pour ensuite les soumettre aux autorités nationales et étrangères de certification.
  • Faire progresser l'organisation en intégrant les leçons apprises dans nos processus.
  • Soutenir la fabrication et l'après-vente, pour assurer une transition fluide des nouveaux produits en production.


Qu'est-ce qu'il vous faut pour réussir?
  • Le candidat idéal doit avoir un diplôme en ingénierie (mécanique, électrique ou aérospatiale) combiné avec 5 à 7 ans d'expérience dans l'ingénierie des systèmes de contrôle ou autre domaine pertinent au rôle.
  • Une expérience avec les turbines a gaz ainsi que la connaissance des FADEC sont considérés comme des atouts.
  • Une connaissances des normes ARP-4754A et DO-178C est souhaitée.
  • Ce poste s'inscrit dans un milieu de travail francophone, néanmoins il nécessite une très bonne connaissance de l'anglais pour lire et comprendre, sur une base quotidienne, de la documentation et des termes techniques qui peuvent émaner d'organisations internationales, ainsi que pour écrire et communiquer en anglais avec des clients, des fournisseurs ou des collègues internationaux.

Job Title: Senior Control Systems Specialist

The Senior Control Systems Specialist will be responsible for designing, validating, and certifying control systems for gas turbine engines, including new product lines, derivative engines, and hybrid/new technology demonstrators. The successful candidate will develop system-level requirements for engine controls. During the engine/aircraft design phase, he/she will work with aircraft manufacturers to develop control system functionality.

He/she will work with a multidisciplinary team (performance, operability, safety/reliability, design disciplines, customer support, etc.) to match control system functionality against engine and aircraft requirements. The successful candidate must understand power plant dynamics and the ARP 4754A/DO-178C processes while preparing evidence to support the engine type certificate.

He/she will also work closely with suppliers to verify software and review test data for control system tests performed on simulations, on the engine, and on aircraft, and to investigate incidents occurring with our customers.

This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?
  • Define control system requirements in close collaboration with internal and external customers.
  • Turn concepts into reality with P&WC's software design teams and our suppliers, ensuring every requirement is interpreted and implemented correctly.
  • Design and execute validation tests - test plans, simulation benches, engine tests, and flight tests.
  • Decode test data and draw conclusions.
  • Generate high quality certification reports for submittal to national and foreign airworthiness certification authorities.
  • Drive the organization forward by integrating lessons learned into our processes.
  • Support manufacturing and aftermarket to ensure a smooth transition of new products into production.


What do you need to be successful?
  • The ideal candidate must have a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace) combined with 5 to 7 years of experience in control systems engineering or another field relevant to the role.
  • Relevant experience with gas turbine engines and knowledge of FADEC are considered assets.
  • Knowledge of ARP-4754A and DO-178C standards is desired.
  • This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
