As a Construction Operations Performance Specialist, within Pomerleau's Civil & Infrastructure team, you will play a key role in the deployment, evolution, and optimal use of site performance tracking platforms. Working on large-scale construction projects, you will act as a central link between field teams, preconstruction, and tracking tools, contributing to the standardization of data capture, cost monitoring, performance reporting, and the consolidation of lessons learned across the organization.
This role focuses on leveraging data from existing systems to improve estimating accuracy and jobsite operational performance, in collaboration with the relevant teams.
What you will do
• Support the evolution, continuous improvement, and rollout of productivity and site performance tracking platforms, in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Participate in defining operational needs related to performance, cost, and project progress tracking.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary internal teams (field operations, preconstruction, project controls, PMO) during implementation or enhancement phases of tools and processes.
• Support construction and preconstruction teams in using platforms and associated processes.
• Act as a key resource for best practices in tool usage and for resolving data quality and consistency issues.
• Contribute to improving site performance through the collection, analysis, and optimization of key data.
• Develop, structure, and maintain value-added reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and dashboards.
• Ensure consistency, quality, and reliability of data entered into systems.
• Build expertise at the intersection of operational performance, project controls, and data analytics, in collaboration with the PMO.
This role could be for you if you have
• A degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, project management, or a related field.
• A strong understanding of construction cost control, performance indicators, and project financials.
• Strong proficiency with IT and analytical tools (ERP systems, tracking platforms, Excel, Power BI, or equivalent).
• Solid analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to produce clear and structured reports.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and ability to simplify complex information for both field and corporate teams.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• A solution-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement and process optimization.
• A strong interest in site performance and data-driven decision-making.
Additional Assets
• Experience in construction, preconstruction, project controls, or performance analysis.
• Experience with project tracking or project management platforms.
• Knowledge of HCSS software.
