Job SummaryDevelop and execute global sourcing strategies for assigned products to improve cost, quality, service and total cost of ownership. Collaborates with operations management, quality/compliance, product management, and supply chain teams to qualify new sources of supply. Identifies risks within the products assigned and works closely with stakeholders to eliminate or take mitigating actions for strategic risks.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for sourcing, providing expert guidance on the selection and management of suppliers, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and procurement policies.Develop, implement, and manage master supply agreements (MSAs), including analyzing proposals and negotiating costs, terms, incentives and/or service for purchased products.Applies highly developed knowledge of procurement processes, materials, and supplier capabilities to improve sourcing strategies and meet organizational objectives.Manages and owns negotiation of contracts, resolution of issues, and management of supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with company requirements and performance standards.Conduct commodity specific competitor, geographic, and industry analysis to identify cost, material selection, manufacturing techniques and material sourcing to improve company's competitive position.Develop sourcing strategies, working closely with cross-functional teams to influence the development of business processes that enhance sourcing effectiveness and align with long-term goals.Develops actionable insights from market research, supplier data, and procurement metrics to inform decision-making and drive sourcing excellence.Support new product development process by managing supplier selection, launch schedules and cost targets.Directs groups to implement sourcing strategies across departments, ensuring smooth collaboration and the achievement of procurement objectives.Coaches and provides guidance to junior sourcing team members, offering advice on best practices for vendor selection, contract management, and negotiation tactics.Performs other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsRequired Education & ExperienceMinimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Years of Experience: 8-11 Years Field of Expertise: Sourcing, Purchasing or Supply Chain Management
Preferred Education & ExperienceMinimum Education Level: Master's degree Specialized Degree: Supply Chain Management/Business Administration Licenses/Certificates: Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)) Years of Experience: 12-14 Years
