Full Job Description
The Sourcing Manager, LTL Transportation is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for Less-Than-Truckload transportation services across North America while leading logistics analytics transformation initiatives that improve transportation performance, cost, service, and productivity. This role combines category management responsibilities with advanced analytics leadership, supporting the organization's transition to AI-enabled and data-driven logistics decision making.
Logistics Analytics & Digital Transformation
• Lead logistics analytics initiatives that improve transportation visibility, service performance, and cost optimization.
• Develop transportation dashboards, KPI scorecards, predictive analytics models, and executive reporting tools.
• Partner with Digital and Technology teams to implement advanced analytics, automation, AI, and GenAI solutions across logistics operations.
• Translate transportation data into actionable recommendations that improve business performance.
• Develop long-term logistics analytics roadmaps aligned with supply chain objectives.
• Leverage freight spend, carrier, and network data to identify optimization opportunities.
LTL Strategic Sourcing
• Develop and execute LTL category strategies.
• Lead carrier RFQs, bid events and negotiations.
• Manage annual LTL sourcing processes.
• Develop routing guide strategies and carrier allocations.
• Continuously benchmark market rates and industry trends.
Carrier Relationship Management
• Manage national and regional carrier partnerships.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews.
• Drive carrier accountability through scorecards.
• Resolve service, capacity and performance issues.
Freight Cost Optimization
• Improve transportation productivity and savings.
• Analyze modal conversion opportunities.
• Support consolidation and network optimization initiatives.
• Increase freight density and utilization.
Analytics & Performance Management
• Monitor transportation KPIs.
• Analyze freight spend trends and lane performance.
• Create data-driven recommendations.
• Measure carrier performance and sourcing effectiveness.
Risk & Capacity Management
• Develop contingency plans.
• Monitor market conditions and fuel trends.
• Diversify carrier portfolio.
• Support business continuity planning.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Analytics
• 5+ years of experience in transportation sourcing, logistics, procurement, or supply chain.
• 3+ years experience leveraging analytics to drive business results.
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong understanding of freight transportation and logistics operations.
• Experience developing dashboards, KPIs, and business intelligence reporting.
• Strong financial and analytical skills.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing transportation spend exceeding 25M-50M.
• Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or advanced analytics experience.
• GenAI or AI-enabled analytics experience.
• Transportation Management System (TMS) experience.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Manufacturing or distribution environment experience.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.
Other Compensation
This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
