About the RoleWe are looking for a
Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and backend software development to join Kopius' Solutions Division and help design and deliver innovative AI-driven solutions across a diverse portfolio of client engagements and internal innovation projects.
This is a high-impact, high-variety role for an architect who can translate complex business challenges into scalable, production-ready AI solutions. You will work across multiple teams, clients, and initiatives, shaping technical architecture, evaluating emerging AI technologies, developing proof-of-concepts, and supporting Sales and Pre-Sales engagements.
The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience designing and implementing AI-powered applications. You should be comfortable working with large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, and AI application architectures, while understanding the broader cloud, backend, and data infrastructure required to bring these solutions into production.
As part of the Solutions Division, you will provide technical leadership to client-facing delivery teams, collaborate with Sales on solution development and technical discovery, and help transform emerging AI capabilities into practical offerings that deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the architecture and technical design of AI-driven solutions for enterprise customers and internal innovation initiatives.
- Design and evaluate Generative AI applications leveraging LLMs, RAG architectures, AI agents, prompt engineering, and other relevant AI patterns.
- Translate business requirements and client challenges into scalable, secure, and maintainable AI solution architectures.
- Build and guide the development of proof-of-concepts and proof-of-values to validate technical approaches, demonstrate feasibility, and mitigate implementation risks.
- Establish architectural best practices for integrating AI capabilities into existing applications, backend services, APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Evaluate AI models, frameworks, tools, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and reusable solution offerings.
- Collaborate with Sales and Pre-Sales teams to support technical discovery, solution design, proposals, and rough-order-of-magnitude (ROM) estimates.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams throughout solution implementation and delivery.
- Assess the performance, scalability, reliability, security, and cost implications of AI-based solutions.
- Develop technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data flows, integration patterns, and implementation guidelines.
- Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and technical recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate AI capabilities into existing business processes, applications, and technology platforms.
Basic Qualifications- Strong software engineering background with experience designing and building production-grade applications.
- Proven experience translating business requirements into technical architectures and implementation strategies.
- Hands-on experience developing AI-powered applications using LLMs, Generative AI, or applied machine learning.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating across engineering, business, and client-facing teams.
- Strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and accountability for architectural decisions and outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Technical Requirements- Deep, hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLM-based application development.
- Strong understanding of RAG architectures, including document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector search, retrieval strategies, and contextual generation.
- Experience designing or implementing AI agents, tool calling, multi-step workflows, or agentic architectures.
- Proficiency in Python and experience building backend services and APIs.
- Strong understanding of API design, integration patterns, microservices, and distributed architectures.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably Microsoft Azure, and an understanding of deploying AI applications in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks, model providers, orchestration tools, and vector databases.
- Understanding of data pipelines, data preparation, and enterprise data integration requirements for AI applications.
- Knowledge of security, privacy, observability, evaluation, latency, and cost considerations when deploying AI solutions.
- Experience supporting technical discovery, pre-sales solutioning, architecture discussions, or project estimation.
Nice to have:- Experience with Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Foundry, or comparable managed AI platforms.
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or Semantic Kernel.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and production deployment practices for AI applications.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, or enterprise data platforms.
- Experience developing reusable AI accelerators or packaged technical offerings
