As a senior technical leader, you'll coordinate emerging technologies, evolving capabilities, and best practices across the CTO organization, ensuring the BG stays ahead of the curve. In close partnership with Business Group Leadership, Growth Leads, and the AFSI CTO, you will forge the strategic and technical pathways that fuel business success.

You will serve as the trusted technical focal point for sector leadership-advising, influencing decisions, championing new ideas, and guiding solution excellence across the capture, proposal, and delivery lifecycles. If you thrive in dynamic environments, love solving complex challenges, and want to leave your mark on a growing and strategically vital organization, this role is your launchpad.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Technical Leadership & Innovation
  • Assess current and emerging technical gaps relative to BG and SAIC strategy; identify highest make/buy/acquire ROI options to close those gaps.
  • Track, evaluate, and report on future technology trends to ensure AFSI remains at the forefront of innovation.
  • Explore and vet emerging technologies in next-gen computing, networking, power, AI/ML, autonomy, cyber, enterprise IT, and advanced architectures.
  • Partner with the AFSI CTO in managing investment portfolios and driving profitable technical growth initiatives across the BG.
  • Provide technical insight to Government Affairs to support messaging, lobbying strategy, and strategic engagements.
  • Support senior customer engagements for key strategic accounts, shaping solutions and influencing acquisitions aligned with mission outcomes.
  • Contribute to BG policy approval planning, including data management, zero trust, multi-level security, and modernization initiatives.

Solution Architecture Leadership
  • Demonstrate proficiency across a broad range of solutions, including Enterprise IT, Full Spectrum Cyber, AI/ML, Managed Services, Applications, modeling & simulation, systems engineering, and more.
  • Serve as solution lead from early qualification through proposal submission-guiding strategy, technical vision, and solution readiness.
  • Engage current and prospective customers to assess needs, vet solution concepts, and shape acquisition strategies to achieve mission and business objectives.
  • Identify and recommend optimal technical approaches that meet anticipated or actual acquisition requirements.
  • Lead development of key solution artifacts including architectures, process flows, CONOPS, staffing plans, and technical narratives.
  • Collaborate with corporate technical service areas and lines of business to bring differentiated technical and business strategies to market.
  • Support teaming strategies and partner evaluations; contribute to due diligence for acquisitions or strategic partnerships.
  • Develop cost strategies, LOEs/BOEs/BOMs, and associated rationale for proposals and solution baselines.
  • Produce unsolicited technical recommendations, whitepapers, RFIs/SSNs, and collateral to position AFSI for future wins.

Proposal Excellence & Technical Integration
  • Ensure readiness and alignment of solution and proposal teams to deliver compelling, compliant response packages.
  • Guide development of technical volumes and oral presentations; author introductions, key sections, and supporting graphics.
  • Coach junior solution architects and proposal support staff.
  • Ensure technical solution alignment and integration across all proposal sections and volumes.
  • Review proposals and provide critical feedback to strengthen technical quality, competitiveness, and compliance.
  • Engage with program teams to introduce innovation, resolve technical challenges, and design forward-leaning technical roadmaps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 20 years of related experience, or master's degree and 15 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience researching, prototyping, and delivering cutting-edge technology to the federal government.
  • Experience driving change in federal regulations, policy environments, and acquisition processes.
  • Working knowledge across cloud, cyber, IT/OT, software development, modeling & simulation, systems engineering, and enterprise architectures.
  • Experience preparing and delivering executive-level briefings to government stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to integrate diverse technologies into complex enterprise environments.

Desired

  • Experience working with elected federal officials and their staff.
