Overview

As a Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Waste Management Practice in our St. Charles, MO office, you will be involved in the planning, permitting, design, and site development of integrated solid waste facilities. You'll manage multidisciplinary teams supporting local government and private clients across the municipal solid waste, industrial, and energy sectors. You'll oversee project execution from concept through construction, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction, while collaborating across CEC practices to deliver integrated solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage solid waste and site development projects from proposal through construction, including scope, schedule, and budget oversight
  • Lead project teams in the planning, permitting, and design of integrated solid waste facilities
  • Perform quality assurance/quality control reviews to ensure deliverables meet regulatory and client requirements
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams throughout all phases of the project
  • Prepare proposals and support business development efforts to expand client relationships and win new work
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff, supporting their professional growth and development
  • Collaborate with other CEC practices to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary solutions


Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in the design, permitting, document preparation and CQA of waste disposal facilities
  • Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process
  • B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental Engineering, or related field (M.S. a plus)
  • Professional licensure (P.E. or P.G.) preferred,
  • Understanding of business principles of consulting projects and related project delivery tools.
