Full Job Description
Position Summary

We are seeking an experiencedSolar Site Construction Managerto lead field operations for medium-to-large solar construction projects. This person oversees on-site execution from mobilization through commissioning and is the primary liaison between the field, vendors and subcontractors. The Site Construction Manager ensures projects are built safely on schedule and in accordance with quality standards and in compliance with all contract documents. The Site Construction Manager communicates with the project management team to ensure field and office operations are consistent and operating at the same pace.

This position is full-time, exempt, project site based.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safe working conditions and enforce company and state safety regulations.
  • Lead the site team from mobilization through FC and handover.
  • Oversee construction, testing, commissioning, and SCADA installation.
  • Monitor schedule milestones and ensure adherence to EPC contractual obligations.
  • Review IFC drawings, manage inspections, quality programs, and ITP compliance.
  • Assist and collaborate in the resolution of construction challenges and provide input to develop corrective action or recovery plans with the management team.
  • Provide on-site leadership, coaching, hiring support, performance evaluations, and development for field staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, motivated team environment, maintaining company culture and values.
  • Work with engineering, procurement, and construction teams on permitting, logistics, and resource planning.
  • Prepare daily project update reports, status reports, and Items of Interest for the management team
  • Validate contractor payment applications and change orders.
  • Manage onsite records, QA/QC documentation, and project close-out reports.
  • Manage delivery inspections and verification of parts with procurement.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the project management team to ensure field and office operations are running in parallel and at the same pace to avoid delays or discrepancies.


Requirements:
  • Proven 5+ years of experience as a Site Manager in solar EPC or renewable energy construction of large utility scale projects OR 3+ years of experience in solar EPC or renewable energy construction and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management)
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety programs and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in project scheduling, quality control, commissioning and sub-contractor management.
  • Strong background in reading and understanding blueprints.
  • Experience leading successful project teams, including development of employees and maintaining relationships with clients.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Current valid driver's license required and insurable driving record.
