Software Test Engineer - S3ILocation: Huntsville, AL Description:Seeking a motivated
Test Engineer to join our Precision Fires MLRS team in Huntsville, AL on Redstone Arsenal. We are searching for curious problem solvers looking to continue to grow in their knowledge and are lifelong learners!
Responsibilities:- Develops test plans, test schedule, and approach
- Working with heavy military equipment
- Working with a Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) simulation environment
- Writes test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios
- Conducts a walk through on test case/script with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads
- Performs and leads tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects
- Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment
- Creates daily test metrics and reporting; communicates test results
- Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues
- Documents and works to resolve all complex problem and reports progress on problem resolution to management
- Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations
Required Skills:- Understanding of software test methodologies
- Capable of developing test tools in support of an automated and simulated environment
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
- Experience using version control software.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years or more of related experience
